What’s the difference between rowed, rode and road?
Well, the first two are verbs (actions), right? And the last word, road, is a noun (person, place or thing). But when you’re spelling them, things can get tricky. Use letters in the words to help you remember the difference.
For example, there’s a “W” in “rowed” and “water.” If you’re rowing, you’re probably on water.
The Grammar Chicken rode (“E” at the end) her “totally Excellent” longboard (I hope you said that in a California surfer dude accent. If not, please go back and start over.)
Many roads (word with an “A”) are made of “asphalt.”
