What’s the difference between yearn and urn?
In an era of shorthand everything – when “ur” means “your” or “you’re” in text messages – it’s easy to see the root of the problem, even though these two words are not pronounced the same way.
Yearn (v.) means to desire something. And an urn (n.) is a container for cremated dead people. i.e. “Chicken does not yearn to keep the urn of ashes, so it’s going in the closet.”
